Database

These are the commands to do a full database scrape/re-seed:

turbo cli -- generate --terms=all         # scrape Banner -> cache
turbo cli -- tools seed-config --seed     # write static config
turbo cli -- upload --terms=all           # load into the database

To view the database and the data represented:

turbo setup         # start up the database
turbo db:studio     # view database

Explanation of Data

A key component of our database is using Drizzle ORM. We use the PostgreSQL version.

Drizzle allows us to write the database specifications in TypeScript, which is then converted to SQL to make our database look correct.

When viewing the database through the drizzle studio, it may seem like there are types present. However, this is the actual TS types that Drizzle has for the tables and are not actually used in our database.
